Because after all by reading their email, I think it really sounds strange, it makes me think that they don't really hold copyrights (however I can't tell for sure), else why would they withdraw their claim?

I mean it's not really necessary, but I guess by knowing how everyone approached the problem, maybe we can work out the best strategy to get rid of these claims.
